I hike from Camp Dick to the eastern boundary of the Indian Peaks Wilderness in June 2011. Part of St Vrain Glaciers trail. I have not yet been to Red Deer Lake or St Vrain Glaciers. The trail is mostly level forest trail. Very few open views of mountains. I was told Red Deer Lake is spectacular, so I need to hike to that lake eventually.
The wildflowers on this trail, in June, are spectacular.
